Dorothy, often portrayed as the dutiful self effacing sister of the poet William Wordsworth, emerges from this book as something quite different.
After reading this captivating book you will feel that you have met a remarkable and spirited woman.

  • @britpete Perhaps 'wild' as compared to the typical women of the time?

  • Wow, I love the poetry of Wordsworth, and I have the "Grassmere Journals" on tape, they really do give an insight into life in those times.

She obviously adored her brother, and she was very emotional on his wedding day, in fact she could not bring herself to go to the church.

But, you said that Wordsworth was "wild" I have to say, I have not recognised that in him, although Coleridge was a little...well...odd!

Maybe you can explain a little more about his wildness?
