@intgrty It isn't regarded as HD by television broadcasting systems, whereby the minimum, "HD Ready" is 720p. However, for online video, HDV (High Definition Video), 576p is regarded as the minimum threshold for HD.

thats cool,but with hd nowdays why isnt it 720p at least. and how can you take this when you travel and have a laptop and need to use ur laptop screen? does the ps3 stay at 576p until you make changes,and will it be the same for 720p.if there was a 720p version i think most would drop that money for it to use on there laptop screens while away from home. cant wait for the higher res version,good work so far

Might be smooth gameplay just don't expect it to be in HD! Since most games are designed with HD in mind why would anyone drop $80 plus on something that displays in SD? 576p isn't even regarded as a standard HiDef format!
