Blazing Star (Stage 5 - Windina - 2.5mil)

The fifth stage, and the second lowest scoring stage of the game (only the first stage is lower scoring). Also one of the easiest stages to negotiate.

Scoring in this stage is mainly handled by leaving particular submarines in the stage alive, so they spew slow-moving missiles that are destroyed for bonus gems. You can add a bit more to your score by timely collection of a rate-up angel during busy sections, but it is often best to leave the rate-up angel for the sixth stage where it can be utilised in a busier, higher-scoring environment.

@sagzsagz the letters and powerups raise the difficulty when collected. He collected a Yumechan on Stage 1 and got loads of powerups back then to boost the difficulty up (so he could starting getting bonus gems quickly). If the difficulty gets any higher now then the later stages will be too hard.
