Uncle Jemima's Spy Adventure 4 - Harvest

In this video, I'll mess around with the Dead Ringer and show one possible way of playing a KOTH map. 50% advice, 50% meaningless banter - 100% showing who is the boss. I don't have as many specific tips here because I think this video was more playstyle than anything else.

Apologies for the random blank at about 3 minutes. I rendered the movie five different times but eventually gave up. Don't complain! You're watching this for free.

I'm using the record movie functionality so that I can max out all of the settings and combine them into a fluid video that doesn't skip or lag. It's pretty sweet. It just takes forever to record because it saves a TGA image per-frame.

Oh yeah, that's the method I use, but if I max out the game, I can't even run the first five seconds of the demo, it will crash lol

Yeah for this vid, I was running at 1280x720 which gives me about 20 fps at these settings. I tried to do something else today at 1920x1080 at the same settings for the new YouTube legit HD functionality, but the game kinda slowed to a crawl. I'll have to try it again later.

You can still find the servers running harvest_event. I just prefer to have a framerate over exploding pumpkins.

@CrayolaNinjas I haven't played the game but from what I've seen I mostly agree. Although I believe there is a percentage cap on how much cloak is refilled using the Dead Ringer, it is still easily abused since just being invisible can be all a Spy needs to escape. Maybe if, after the initial hit, the damage reduction was reduced from 90% to something less comfortable for a Spy-player then he or she would rely on tactical stealth more.

yeah the DR is a whole lot of bullshit It really needs a nerf of not being able to be refilled using ammo boxes. It's a crutch for bad spies tbh.
