This happens after a few seconds of powering up the computer. It is a 2005 iMac G5 (20in.), running with 2GB of ram, 400GB hard drive, and I installed Leopard last week. Leopard seems to be running in an unstable manner. Has anyone seen this before? What does it imply?

  • Nope, not a virus. It means that the computer is unable to locate the system folder and is failing to boot.

  • HERE IS THE FIX BELOW...

At start up insert the your Mac OS X start up disk and hold down the C key. (at start up!!)

Then go to System Preferences>Start up disk>select Mac OS X HD and see if it worked (it worked for me)
