I hate how different the movies are from the books. If you loved this movie then you seriously need to read the book coz its about a million times better, that scene is so much more in depth and alot darker, for example Kurtz (morgan freeman) doesnt warn the other pilots that the ship is going to explode, he just flies off coz hes a total bastard in the book!

ok, i watched the movie from this point on AMC- what is going on, why are they transforming from the humanoid alien form to a worm with legs alien form.
a simple answer would be great, im not going to rewatch the movie
