  • I hear this..I hear 2112, a song i drummed on (unrelated in the early 90's) and natural science. All three put together with their own stuff thrown in is pretty much the make up of this song.

  • @jimmynorton1001 Thanks for taking the time to write a comment. I hear what you are saying too.

  • @jimmynorton1001 honestly have no idea where you're getting that from, this sounds absolutely nothing like anything Rush has ever done, in my opinion. Reminds me more of Misirlou by Dick Dale that anything.

  • @nflnba88 It's interesting to listen for the Rush sounds, I suppose you could easily say it sounds more like other influences. There is no right or wrong. The next song going up for this band uses Alex Lifeson's white doubleneck guitar, so that should be fun. Alex Lifeson also produced the studio versions of these songs.

  • the drummer looks like he could be in a Beatles cover band

  • @ACDCv5150III Yes, the drummer is an awesome guy! All three players are solid guys.

  • Uses a similar augmented 7th scale to 2112's Overture. By Augmented 7th I mean that the 7th degree of the scale is raised a 1/2 step and it might actually also be the same for the 4th degree as well.

  • Dave better try that with an Ibanez with super slinkeys on it! 9 to 42 will do the trick and finger ease spray...lightening fast...sounds great!

  • @nflnba88 I also hear natural science at the 1:12 mark and the 1:34 so i believe it does sound like rush at times quite obviously.

  • @nflnba88 Yes, a bit of Dick Dale, I was also thinking about a lot of early Les Paul instrumentals, and especially the album he did with Chet Atkins, Chester and Lester. Listen to Lover Come Back To Me. The last bit of the tune I do hear the Big Al influence. We thought we'd start with a rocker, the other tunes have a much bigger production, with mandolins, steel guitars, Moog bass pedals. Al was very involved in the arrangements too. This video was a promo piece for Dagmar gtrs and Mack amps.

  • SKYLAB!
