From Early 1985: Part of a video, I assume only for Hollywood insiders, investors and the Company CEO's. The first part covered "today" with then current trailers of "Witness" "Friday the 13th part 5"
"Rustler's Rhapsody" & "King David"

Then "tomorrow", with "Explorers" and "Lady Jane"

This part covers the films in development:

Clue
Blue City
Young Sherlock Homes
Two Jakes
Heartburn
The Accused ( not named in video )
Top Guns
Indiana Jones : An All New Adventure
Star Trek 4 ( using clips from part 3 )
Steven Spielberg's Peter Pan
Children of a Lesser God.
Captive Hearts
The Last Holiday
Jetsons

  • Interesting promo for Clue, none of those people shown are in the movie.

  • @JMaxwell85 What you are looking at is the 1980's original box cover for the CLUE board game. The box design changed over the years,so you may not be familiar with it or those faces - who were also on the CLUE cards.

  • Was this taken from a VHS realese?

  • if you read the "about the video" box in the upper right hand corner of the page - it would answer your question.. this was not on any VHS tape for public consumption.

  • Both Clue and Young Sherlock Holmes were released in 1985. Heatburn, Top Guns renamed Top Gun, Children of a Lesser God, Captive Hearts renamed Fire with Fire and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home were released in 1986, The Accused was released in 1988, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade was released in 1989, The Two Jakes released in 1990 and The Last Holiday released in 2006 by Paramount.

  • Are there other videos like this around?

  • When Last Holiday was first developed, John Candy was set to star (it would have been a mostly-straight remake of the original). After development hell and Candy's death, the film was rewritten with a female lead and Queen Latifah became the lead.

  • Jetsons never came about unfortunately.
