  • I used to live in the Bay Area. I had no idea we had snakes that big!

  • @Quad8track neither did I, until I happened to visit the park in Mountain View and saw this scene.. There are so many lakes, back water and greenery.. so I believe we can't rule out the existence of snakes and the likely things

  • @rangupraveen It's a Gopher Snake. They are harmless to people. They can reach 6 feet in length, and their bite is not venomous. Snakes have lots of teeth, even those without venom... and Gopher snakes will often bite readily if you try to handle them. There was very little chance for the snake to escape the bird in this case.
