This is a test shot I did of a creature filmed through the rear view mirror. Needs a lot of color correcting and needs more finessing with the shadow placements of the creature but not bad for a day, lol. It was animated on Poser 6 using the model "Garou", and composited in Adobe After Effects onto a still image. A special thanks goes out to Andrew Kramer, without his tutorials on videocopilot.net , I wouldn't have even attempted doing something like this.

  • Can i have a question. How can you import model in poser to after effects ?

  • Hi Bakuraltou, what I did was change the background color to green and then rendered out the animation, then in After Effects, I keyed out the green. It's kind of a crude way but it seems to work, there is some green spill so I also used spill suppressor in After Effects. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • Hi Redman8798, everything was fabricated, the forest shot was just a still image that I zoomed out of. The hardest thing was waiting for it to render out so I can see the finished shot, hahaha. Anyways, thanks for your comment and thanks for the 5 stars! It means a lot to me!

  • The background is moving to fast compared to the mirror but it still looked decent

  • Hi Smallstothwall, you are right, that was bugging me since I uploaded the footage, but I have moved on since then and I'm too lazy to change it, lol. Thanks for your comment!

  • i like the behavior of the creature as the car pulls away, i like to see the acting in the animation. cool

  • Thanks a lot DoranArtMedia! I'm liking all these positive responses. Maybe I should make a new one ^_^
