The most sincerest form of flattery is immitation. Metallica is awesome, Korn is awesome; they are totally different in sound and style. Korn's version does not sound the same but it was great none the less.

1. James Hetfield isn't a great singer himself.
2. They had due to time constraints. It was a TV show that had to be fit within a specific timeframe.
3. They can solo, check out their cover of Brick in the Wall from Floyd.
