Hilo Takeoff

A short addition to my kids' collection of airplane takeoff videos. Departing Hilo International Airport (ITO) aboard go! Airlines flight 1039 on Wed., Jan. 2, 2008. It's an unusually clear day for the often gray and wet east side of the Big Island. Despite a dirty window and the glare of the sun, the view of the Hamakua Coast and Mauna Kea is impressive.

Wondering which side of the plane I want to sit when flying in and out of Hilo. Looks like the left side gets the beachs whilst sitting on the right you can see inland... What are those snow capped mtns you see at the end of your vid? Is it still Big Island?
