@graniterockss Ok, can you send me a supply list? It is an edge which is intimidating to me, but I do detailed work so I think I could fix it. I like the idea of getting someone after work for a hundred bucks better, but don't know how to get that someone! Thank you for responding so quickly.

@mjstc5 You could do it yourself, but the only issue would be the time and effort it would take to round up the correct supplies. This could be tough depending on where you live. 250.00 is an average price for a company to charge to send a service tech. Considering that they could be sending that same person to service big contracts, and other builders. Your best bet would be to find somebody who would come after work and do it for a 100 bucks. Let me know if you need a supply list.

I have a small chip, pencil eraser size, on the sink edge of our granite counter top. I called the company who installed it and they quoted me 250.00! Can I do this myself, even though it's an edge?

@simmica The sink edges are more prone to chipping especially if the top edge is more square and not rounded. You can repair the chip but that wont prevent other chips. So I would have them repair it but I would have them re-shape the top edge of your sink cutout to be more rounded than square. This will make your granite less susceptible to chipping when you hit it with a pan or a plate. This should not cost more than the 150 but 150 is an average price.

We baught other slabs from other companies and offered to re-do her kitchen in any other color. We told her that we will absolutly not repair the broken slab. She then offered to pay us to put the slab she fell in love with back together. We didnt charge her and sometimes all you can do is please the customer. I'm sure every shop out there has had there fair share of odd customers. Oh and we warrentied the work for 10 years. So glad you could make negative comments keep up the good work.
