@ThePoob So True. We do a lot of things that folks don't know where it came from. I used to laugh when folks heard us break out in that song once, and said.....damn, them Alphas are bittin' off the Ques. LOLOL.

But on a serious note.....you would think that with the INTERNET, folks would have MORE knowledge (not less). Well, I pledged BEFORE the internet (spring 87) and we had to literally SEEK KNOWLEDGE and turn over stones everywhere to find out stuff.

Actually, we use to sing that song (Historically) many years ago.....before ANY of us were even born. Part of being in a Fraternity is being able to have access to HISTORY (both oral and written) and to get a deeper understanding of a particular song. That song was initiated by US and we put our "Signature" in it.... A. L. P. H. A.

@alhowert... The chant spells Alpha. (All-A Love-L Peace-P Happiness-H A-Alpha) How much proof do you need? I have heard several organizations using this chant. It came from Alpha Phi Alpha. People are doing chants without any idea of the history of the chants. They are doing the chant because their frats or sorors before them used the chant not knowing where it came from or the history. Yes, the Omegas and others may have been doing it for a long time, but, it came from the Alphas!
