Travelling Wilburys Interview MTV Interview 10/28/88

  • I saw an interview years ago, I believe it was with Tom Petty. The discussion was about deciding who sang what with the Wilbury's. He said something to the effect, they would come to a section and "well, let Roy sing that part". What about the next part? "Well, let Roy sing that part...before long it was "let Roy sing it all". I would love to find that interview again.

I was glad to see Roy blend with these guys. He did have a marvelous voice.

  • 1:46 :)

  • there was an interview done with the wilburys when Roy was still alive. Can anyone point me to it?

  • Who's the best cook? Bob Dylan. Now that does surprise me. I gues it shouldn't as I don't really know him. I probably would have said George because of all his gardening. I'm glad he was able to be in the TW's. That was a really happy time for him. We get to see him smile even laugh. He rarely does either of those two things let alone cry in public. I doubt he could have talked about Roy without tearing up.

  • @TheFpuff I think Bob was touring and couldn't be their. Either that was the case of this was. George adored Bob, considered him a friend, mentor, teacher, something that touched Bob deeply. At the same time George didn't realized Bob felt the same way about him. Bob took George's death to heart & was probably still trying to work throught his death both mentally & physically. During times of great loss people will often work thems to a stupor to prevent their brain from dwelling on a loss.

  • "'Why volume three?' Well, we couldn't think of the next number that followed one." Gotta love George. XD

  • Where's Bob? He wasn't at the Concert for George either.

  • 5:10 - 5:20

    i frickin' love george!

  • @ChiroQuacker I have to agree with you somewhat, but there were a good few tracks on vol3, inside out being the best
