Episode 100

Demi: Joe please I need to get the epidural. I really can't take the pain.

Joe: I guess baby. Are you sure?

Demi: YES JOE!! Please get the doctor!!

Joe: Ok.

Joe leaned down as he stroked Demi's head and kissed her forehead. He walked to the hallway and brought in a nurse. The nurse helped Demi lean forward as she stuck her with the needle. Once the nurse finished Joe helped Demi lay back on the bed. Joe stroked her stomach and kissed it.

Joe: Baby girl you feel any better?

Demi: I just got the shot. And no it doesn't feel like it.

Joe nodded his head keeping her calm. The doctor walked in and put Demi's legs up as she sat down looked in between them.

Doctor: Demi, how ya feelin babe?

Demi: So ready to push this baby out!

Doctor: Ok, well sorry to say you are on the right track but you are only about 4 centimeters dilated.

Demi: Well they are getting a lot closer so should I be fully dilated soon?

Doctor: If they are moving closer fast, then yes you will be holding your baby girl very soon.

Demi: Thanks.

Demi leaned her head back and she closed her eyes. She stroked her big stomach and sighed. Joe sat by her side feeding her and holding her hand.

The doctor had frequently came to check on Demi. It had been a half hour and Demi was fully dilated. The doctor sat in between her legs as she was getting ready to push.

Doctor: Demi sweetheart your baby is ready to come into the world.

Demi smiled through her pain and nodded her head. Joe got to Demi's side holding her hand and encouraging her. The doctor counted down and Demi pushed as best she could. The baby's head was partially out and Demi pushed again as the doctor said. Demi looked up as the doctor held both her hands up towards Demi motioning for her to stop pushing.

Doctor: Demi sweetie the umbilical cord is wrapped around the baby's neck you cannot push until I tell you to.

Demi nervous looked at Joe while her eyes filled with tears. All the nurses and the doctor were all paying attention to the baby as they were loosening the umbilical cord from the baby's little neck. Joe put his forehead against Demi's.

Joe: This is just a little step back, nothing is going to happen to her. The doctors know what they are doing.

Demi nodded as more tears fell. Joe gently kissed her lips and stroked her hair from her face. The doctor looked up to Demi with a smile.

Doctor: Everything is good. One last big push the baby will be out.

Demi smiled then went serious. She scrunched her face while it went to a bright red color. She squeezed Joe's hand and screamed loudly as her head went forward as she pushed for the last time. The doctor held up a baby in the air and laying the baby on Demi's stomach while the nurse cleaned the baby.

Doctor: Healthy baby girl! Congratulations!!

Demi: She is so beautiful.

Demi looked while her little girl whined and the doctor finished cleaning her. Demi gently kissed her head and looked at Joe who had tears in his eyes. Demi smiled and looked down again. The doctor took her quickly to weigh and measure her. They brought her back wrapped up tight and with a pink hat on. Demi snuggled her close kissing her multiple times.

Demi: She is so perfect. And she broke the Jonas boy curse.

Joe: -Chuckles- Yes she did. Langley Hope Jonas.

Demi kissed her one time and handed her over to Joe. The doctor finished up with Demi and moved her to a new room. Demi picked up the phone as she called her house phone for Denise.

Denise: Hello?

Demi: Hey mom, healthy baby girl Langley Hope Jonas.

Denise: Oh I will get the boys ready and we will be there soon. But first how are you feeling?

Demi: Tired and sore. But so happy with my little girl.

Denise: How much does she weigh?

Demi: She is 7 lbs. exactly and she was measured at 20 inches.

Denise: I can't wait to see her. Get some rest sweetie we will be there soon.

Demi: Thanks, love you.
