@BorislavX Oh, so is there any thing that holds the charcoal in place at all?
-
Yes, it is called gravity and the laws of physics :)
I do it all the time when censing. The children seem to like it.

@splee20 yup! Hehe, and then there's the time when my friend (who's dad is a priest and is also an alter boy) smacked the censer on the wall and all the charcoal spilt on the carpet and burned little holes in it during the midnight Christmas service... lol that was sooooo funny cuz we were all like half asleep and then BANG!!! and Presbyterra Barbra was all freaking out but the rest of us hadn't quite gotten what happened so we just kept singing the Cherubic hymn haha

Our Priest also swings it, however it's always done when he is finished censing. I also regularly have seen other Priests do the same. I think it's typical. It's nice when you are serving back at the altar because if you are one of the acolytes manning the censer, it tells you when you need to take it back to the censer stand.

my priest swings the censor like a grenade sometimes. Lol.

@JFMello1116 My Priest spins our censer like that.

it's just centrifugal force.
