I'm glad I was Of Age, to hear Peter, Paul and Mary when they first became known. Whenever they came on the radio, they had that Special sound - each new song would capture your attention immediately, same as with Roy Orbison. This video captures the Essence of their performances. R.I. P. Mary Travers.

The guitars are not out of tune, it's the poor sound quality that causes pitching in the sound.

I was a 1 year old when they did this. I miss hearing them together on the radio. When my now 16 year old daughter was about 4 years old, I found a Peter Paul and Mary special on TV and she was mesmerized. She could take her eyes off the TV. When the commercials cam on she would start crying and stop when they started singing. It felt so good that I loved them as I grew and now a new generation was hooked on them. I was 11 years old and going thru a lot of family problems when this song came out, love it. It made me feel so free from my sad childhood. I would get on a jet plane with my little sis and go back to the midwest and we see our grandparents. It was totally the escape from everything going down in the western part of the country where our family was moved to. I so relate to this Peter, Paul and Mary back in the late 60's.

Listen though. The guitars are way out of tune. They sound drunk. And they have no intensity or interest in what they're doing. This is an awful capture of these great singers.
