Raja Harishchandra (1913) - The India Public Domain Movie Project

Directed by Dhundiraj Govind Phalke and first screened on April 21, 1913 this is India's first feature-length film. The complete film is no longer available and these are portions of the first and last reels of the original 3700 feet of film.

If you start any thing .. then beginning is always small but when it develop then some thing miracle happen. Toady many female wants to work in film but in 1913 no body want act in film that's why Dadasaheb took male for female role.....................
