You people don't know anything! I am an aussie shearer at the age of 16..I have been shearing for 2 years in big sheds around victoria. For 1, it's not called fur or hair! its called wool!! For 2, who cares if you dont like how they are being held, thats the only way to do it. For 3, it does not hurt them when they are being shorn and if you cut them they dont really care! For 4, if you think it is cruel go back to the city and suck a dick, if you dont shear them they will die from to much wool.

@cryptikmoon3000 wow you started when you were 14? i just got started at 16 and i love it! i shear around montana, north and south dakota, and wyoming. it sure is annoying when people who dont know a thing about sheep start making a stink about how we make a living! keep the comb on the hide!!

Don't that "bleat" all
One of the big reasons the farmer hired me was due to I have a reputation for being quick and gentle while shearing sheep. This ewe was days away from lambing, so the job had to be done properly. The longer you take shearing the more stress on the ewe. As you saw, about two minutes shearing time and she got up and walked happily away. Try holding a sheep if you think I was not gentle!
