Why would you stutter when speaking to more than one person, why stutter when you speak to an "authority figure"?: it is because it reminds you of a person or people in the past that made you so nervous or afraid that you could not talk or you thought you should not talk, etc. Thinking about how much it cost allowed you to overcome your speech problem however the over learning will only work IF you always practice and you constantly use your techniques to block out environmental cues.....
I believe one can stop stammering in 10 minutes. Somehow ones just needs to change their mind about it. The point is HOW. :-). Thats what Im gonna find out :-p

im similar. i stutter around the people im most comfortable with, but not really around strangers! its bizarre
