  • The Island Chek Lap Kok was flatened by Roche Bros. and Yamasaki Construction. Australian and Japanese company. Dutch companies were doing all the trashing of the sea bed.

The motor way on Landau was done by China Engineering and Leighton. China and Australian company.

Viaduct from Tsuen Wan was done by Dragages. French company.

Please can you explain what British company you mean?

But the whole project was financed by Hong Kong people and build by none British people.

  • @strackmaxderwoche

Hong Kong people did the construction work. But the companies who bid for the job through Hong Kong govt were all foreign companies mainly from England. British people do have a reputation for engineering ever since the London Bridge.

Majority of the project managers were British. Project managers doesnt need to be on the site, they are responsible for the planning. Construction work managers are HK engineers.

You should get ur facts right.

  • @gomzy78

Sorry. I spend 5 years at the project and I did not see one british on side!

  • I'll be at this airport in less than 2 weeks. I've been through it several times! I love it. Though I miss Kai Tak & the crazy landings too.

  • I know...like constant delays on the Tube

  • Marvellous......British have proved that nothing is impossible....
