FARC: Revolutionaries or Terrorists?

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez recently urged the governments of Colombia and the USA to take the FARC off their terrorist list. He said that this was the only way to secure a peace deal between the guerrillas and the FARC. But how are Colombians reacting to Chavez´s proposal? Is it time to grant political status to the FARC?

Youre far away its very easy to say, but here in colombia nobody acept the farc actions. they are terrorist. no mas mentiras, no más violencia, no mas farc.

bertiman (Chileno) FARC do not control 60% of Colombia. Who told you that? FARC don't even control 1% of Colombia's jungle where there very few human beings. All they control is relatively small areas in the jungle. The only people living in those areas are mostly Indians. FARC assassinated 17 natives last week accusing them of being informants. FARC is moving all the time because the Colombia army is on their ass. FARC is hiding all the time! - 60% of you brain needs the right info.

The funny thing is, before the American military presence in the region, I did not like the FARC. Now that the Americans are invading Colombia, I'm rooting for everyone (including the farc) to kill the Americans foreign invaders.

FARC plant land mines to kill ANYONE who steps on it. That's a terrorist!. it is a crime, not a "view" or "opinion" it is the law. I hate the FARC but your response is full of mistakes as well. You do realize that they're a legitimate military wing of the Communist Party of Colombia? Their acts of "Terror" are actually acts of war. Colombia is in a state of civil war for over 45 years and in the southern regions of Colombia that are FARC-controlled, they operate as the law in that area. They enforce in that region what they want to enforce upon Colombia.

We need to just go all out and kill them all. Shoot now, ask later!
