SC did not make its case in asking the US Justice Dept. to approve the new voter ID law, DOJ said on Aug. 29, 2011. The state Attorney General has 60 more days to answer DOJ's questions, the same questions the SC Progressive Network has been asking. The Network will use the extra time to continue educating voters and building an organized coalition of citizens to fight this and other laws compromising voting rights in South Carolina. • We know what this is. I wish we could just say it. But we aren't willing to stoop that low. Thanks, I agree with you 100% and it makes me ashamed of our state. But it isn't a surprise in the least.
