  • Where can I find the green acres bass mix?

  • @twisted400 you mean tabs or sheet music? If that is what your talking about...good luck, I just listen and play what I hear....

  • "no one else does these songs?" really I have for years played along but on the piano/keyboard for the same reason, tv themes, bubblegum pop, easy sounds,etc...anyhow good idea to show off the skills to be versatile.

  • I meant no bassplayersdo these things on youtube as a mass done jingle-jams...

so I found a little niche for popular world-wide jams everyone knows but never does.

in a section of my list theres a lot of tv and cartoon themes redone for the youtubers

  • yeah ok I get it, but weren't these theme songs originally recorded with a studio orchestra with a String Bass not electric?

Ha! I'd like to see you play a string bass.

  • studio orchestra yes, but they were done in the 60's and may have used an electric, but an upright bass was probably it.

  • @amimbari It was originally an upright bass...very few shows in the 60's used electric bass. It wouldn't be until the 70's when electric bass took over completely...

  • Basslines are basslines and the folks originally playing this didn't play PLAIN stuff, they made it FUN.

  • thanks man, I did a whole bunch of TV and cartoon theme songs in the list. look at page 3 and 4 for more. Upright bass is fun, as my neighbor is in the Pittsburgh Symphony, and let's me jam on his, but for me...it's a skinny "traintrack" fretboard that keeps me happy ( and speedmetal )

  • Hey boss, very cool. I just made a joke to my band about doing a rockabilly Green Acres theme in a set sometime. I play upright, by the way.
