'Making the Connection - Joining the Dots'
The Scarman Trust Manchester Team held a conference on the 9th November 2007 at the City of Manchester Stadium.
Groups working in the voluntary and community sector were invited to come together to learn more about support available from The Scarman Trust Manchester and other partner agencies.
Over 175 people attended the event with opening speeches delivered by Geoff Little, Assistant Chief Executive, Manchester City Council and Matthew Pike, Chief Executive, The Scarman Trust.
A choice of workshops looking at various support tools including Scarman Trust Manchester's website, and an introduction to Community Service Agreements, MATRIX and Can Do Coaching to name but a few were offered to participants to join in.
A large part of the day was dedicated to networking with each other. Being able to share experiences and learn from each other is integral to building mutual support networks - mutual support is the foundation of The Scarman Trust.
