  • Did the ESC have a safe cut for the battery when is in the safe limit?

  • @MrMocosadelaida

Yes.. it also "HAD" a separate BEC... which saved me when it finally burned out after 100+ flights. And then I got another one and it also burned out after around 60 flights... hmm.... so I got a 70 am ESC and the 500kv motor... and spin the new 4 blade system... IT ROCKS MORE THAN EVER!!! I also moded the tail wheel so it retracts. This plane is just a blast.. like an old friend is always a good time.

  • Is this a reasonable second rc plane? I have had the parkzone ultra micro t-28 for a while so i have experience with something with ailerons and responsive controls. I wanna get a bigger plane this summer and this one just looks like a steal for 200$

  • @gruntythirst77

    Yes.

It was my first larger-non-trainer pane. And that was the 4th flight. its easy enough to fly.

  • on the stock version how fast do the retracts come up? i can never tell by peoples videos if they use rate reducers...have you had the problem with the landing gear not fully retracting?

  • @dotey10

the stock gear that is on this video had servos that pulled the gear in.. way fast..

I adjusted them for travel on my radio and carefully on the rods that pulled the gear in and out.. I never had issues. I did have a hard landing once and I replaced them for the servo-less electric retracts and I made sure they fitted just right and they have worked perfectly for many many flights now.

  • @Omhra I'm glad I found this comment, so I'd like to thank you for making it. I've been flying hand launched park fliers for a long time and this bird I really feel the need to take off/land (traditionally) with. The field I fly from is rough at best and my first attempt resulted in a nasty cartwheel cause most likely from my trying to power-up/liftoff too quickly. I fubar'd the motormount, so now it's all squishy. Once I fix that I'll try. With lots of right rudder this time. :-) Thanks again!

  • bought mine with fixed retracts but only took about an hour to get them retracable, used metal gear retract servos and some carbon rod,put a servo reducer on to give it a more authentic look,it does tend to pull to left on take off but i just give full right rudder on run off ,goes up streight as a dye ,you can take these off in a 10ft run, landing is a breeze the just float in ,you can land this on rough grass wihtout a care in the world ,i have 2 of the fms mustangs would recomend to anyone
