:DISCLAIMER:: i did receive this product for free , but you guys know me , and i will always give my honest no BULLS**T opinion and i will never betray the reviewer / viewer trust i have worked to build with my subscribers. I have no vested interest in any of the suppliers who choose to send me products to review , and i would never and WILL never offer to give a good review in order to get receive free products or devices

::UPDATE!!::
the ULTRA MAX takes a 17670 battery, not an 18650 like I said in the video. , thanks JamesXRoss for pointing this out to me :)

now then....

The Apex Alpha is machined incredibly well , very slick and polished PV , the switch is a joy to use and it's very light weight.

I'm still not sold on the RES juice feed system, it has a pretty steep learning curve, and not being able to see how full or empty it is might be confusing for a LOT of people. If you don't like cartos, but like the idea of not having to drip all the time, then give the RES a try.

It's pricey , upward of $180 for the bare bones device with RES is pricey , weigh your options, see what you can afford.

As mentioned in the video here is Prof Beards written review with some very nice closeups of the PV

  • Can the mod hold those yellow 5v batteries?

  • @mikegeezee7 I don't have any of those yellow 5v batteries , sorry :(

  • I got mine a week ago -- the metal they use seems to turn black as it accumulates dirt or whatever. I didn't think it was an issue until the unit wouldn't activate because there was no electrical connection between the battery and atomiser interface! Even though its a threaded connection with all that surface contact. Almost unusable now! Need to twist the thread for 10 seconds to find an intermittent connection each vape. They recommended I soak unit in lime juice -- will let you know progress

  • @timscarfe oh interesting, I haven't run into that problem, that's probably why they include the CapeCod polishing cloths, keep me posted

  • wow I can get 3 mods or that price lol

  • I've owned a few mods, dozens of ego's and knockoffs, 510's, 808's, 801's, 901's, Leo's, all the

atty's, all the cartos, all the tanks, all the clearo's and so forth. I can't say anything

overly negative about any of them....except for the Apex Alpha Ultramax.

Quite the polarizer: I have nothing positive to say about the product.

  • @amber27549 try looking up the lava tube. its a great vari volt mod for around 70 bucks

  • @Trigun06 ★★★★★

  • this is for star wars smokers

  • Nice mod but yeah waaaaay to pricey. I would love to have a mod but due to them all being way over priced i do not yet.

  • You lost me at $180 ha ha. Damn that thing's expensive!
