@guerin545 He is just anti-apple. I suppose it's better than being apple obsessive and buying something because it's apple. But there is no denying that ipods are the best mp3 players and the iphone 4 and soon to be 5 are the best phones out. To answer your other question, yes they are better!

@a9fc what do you recommend to use as a player then? i have an ipod what do you use? And are these headphones good for music all around such as hip hop, rock, etc...and are they better than the coppers?

For most monster products yes..but for miles davis? surprisingly..no
It's worth it
The true overpriced phones are Beats. Dr Dre. Yeap.
And yes. I heard this. I went to a reputable audiophile-ish store and gave the guy a weird look when he recommended it to me. He just said 'try it'. I listen to everything, mostly intrumentals. Rock, jazz,heavy metal, rock orchestra. It blew me away. I'm saving $ now.
But whatever you get..for god sakes..don't use an iPhone/iPad/iPod as your player.
