we were only 2 minutes from the boat ramp using a type of scad . had to un tie after it got fouled up glad it lived.ten minutes before a whale shark was bumping into the boat(check whale shark christmas Is)

Well done mate, great feeling catching a marlin. I recently caught my first one on a trip to the Monte Bello Islands. It came in backwards too, had the line wrapped around it's tail, we got him to survive too.
