It happened with this ball a lot. There were a few matchbox cars that would occasionally go for a ride on their own (on the carpet), and a couple of miscellaneous dolls and such. The ball was the most common, though. We moved out of that house a few months ago, and it hasn't happened at all in our new house. After we moved out, we found out the previous resident lost one of their children while they lived there. No idea if it's related, but it's interesting.
