When slightly reving the engine the revs seem to bounce until it becomes stable. . . . UPDATE* Got the problem fixed, in my other video you can see the exhaust is missfiring. After changeing all coil packs and spark plugs and the o2 sensor. . . the problem was comeing from the 3rd cylinder, could have been a damaged piston. After a Compression test the piston was fine so it was the fuel injector that pumped into that piston. Replaced that and nows fine. Hopefully can help someone out some day!

  • Its a coil dude...buy one and start taking one out put the new one in, and so forth until you find the one that has gone bad.

  • replace the coil packs. It may even be a recall.

  • This video has help me especially the update!!! why havent these engines been recalled? as i have come the same problems and have not known what it is, i have changed my plugs i dont know how many times, been told its the Coil pack, or Pistons, and no knows what they are telling me? i am now going for a compression test to find out exactly what it is.

So thank you for posting this video :)

  • @luffybey hmmm if you can get a video up on youtube it would be give a better insight to whats going on...

  • @zeduno haha i managed to get the car down my uncles garage now, but the car doesnt turn over atall it almost like trying to start it without fuel, even though there is. and im pretty sure the gear box is fine as i was driving it 10 mins before, but you never know with cars. and when i put the ignition on the tunes and a/c and watever all work, but im told the electricals are terrible in the car, as ive had to changed a few switches since lat last year, has anyone had any problems? :/

  • @luffybey I dont think thats a cylinder problem or eletrical fault. If its making grinding noise like its trying to get into gear with out the clutch down thats most proberly your clutch on its way out or worse the gearbox. But that doesnt explain why your car is gone dead... Does the not start at all completly? no lights or anything with a turn of the ignition? . . . btw you should make sure theres now maximum parking times at the mcdonalds before u get a fine!

  • @zeduno im having the same problem i think. i got a mk4 golf and whenever i feather the throttle the is a jug where the car misfires, yesterday i was driving about fine i parked up in mcdonalds and when i went to leave my car sounded like i was trying to put it into gear without the clutch down and made a grinding noise and cut out, i tried the car again and theres no life in the car. do you think its a coil pack or a lead or something please help cuz my cars stil down mcdonalds lol.

  • injectors, spark plugss ?? any of them ??

  • Why don't you get it serviced at a main dealer?
