Remember the movie O' Brother Where Art Thou? And how there was that song Big Rock Candy Mountain in it? Yeah, me too. Well here's another by the same fella, Harry McClintock. Bitchin' and stuff.

  • man what a great song!!!!!!!!!!!!!better than anything in the top 40

  • The song *is* authentic. It's a hard-to-find recording of a classic 'hobo tune' from the depression. I think the subtle, intellectual statement here is brilliant, and I love this song! It's classic.

  • This is the song of the occupy Wall St. protesters.

  • @apexmetaltrading - interesting. I was unable to discern that he is/was a "neo-nazi". Oh, I get it, he has a shaved head and does not agree with liberalism. Of course, that is what we are supposed to say about anyone who points out the folly of socialism, right? It is not that they are in favor of economic liberty, personal responsibility, or an accountable government. No, it's that they are racist, right? Guess I'm not reciting my copy of the doctrine enough. I'll remember next time.

  • HAHA HES A BUM

  • hallelujah i'm a bum hallelujah bum again hallelujah give us a hand out to REVIVE US AGAIN. WHY DON'T YOU WORK LIKE OTHER MEN DO? NOW HOW CAN I WORK WHEN THERE'S NO WORK TO DO. WHY DON'T YOU SAVE ALL THE MONEY YOU EARN? IF I DIDN'T EAT I'D HAVE MONEY TO BURN.

Thanks for showing us what a tard you are you Neo-Nazi ass hat. Hobo's in that day were traveling workers doing anything they could to live. They were not bums they lived in hard times. YOU KNOW like the great depression. Genius my ass.

  • The Liberal Party in Britain once held that laissez-faire was best for advancing their constituency (Dissenters, rising industrialists) and improving the lot of the poor. After about fifty years' trying this, younger members decided that this wasn't working---accurately, I think---and adapted accordingly.

As for 'his own property', see what Ben Franklin had to say about Society and Property---like Soros, he was a man who understood a system better precisely because he didn't worship it.

  • Charity is great., but it's only charity when it's voluntary. Taxation isn't charity. There was a day whan a liberal was someone who was generous with his own money.
