DROBO - my worst mistake ever!

In this movie you see a datarecovery going on that I had to start now for the 3rd time since no tool out there is able to fully recover the "failsafe Drobo". This whole operation took me 80++ hours so far.

I've got my Drobo (so called BeyondRAID™ system) for more than one year now, fully equpped it with 4 x 2TB harddiscs just to experience the worst datacrash I ever had to go through in the past 27 years.

Their promises regarding failsafe-technology are bull, their support sucks and the solutions in case of problems are generic crap that I don't need a support line for.

Never - SAY NEVER I would recommend this system to anybody out there. There are a lot of alternatives to it, better in price, technology and reliability - don't do the same mistake like me to buy this system.

You can read such reports all over the web - if your systems fails you have to get things fixed on your own. And once I heard this saying that matches perfectly on this whole situation: getting your wounded out of the battlezone is the honorable thing - not leaving them behind...
