Bridgeliver, the reason he`s holding the turbine wheel in place is to let the turbo get oil pressure before spooling up for the first time. But from your general language i will assume that you are an idiot. And theres no problem running it without coolant for a little while. Its most likely the first startup, to check if the thing will actually run. Probably some shitty basemap too, but good enough to start it with, wich i think was the general point. Jesus christfuck people.

@redruM0381 It;'s most likely a newly rebuilt engine, so will not have good compression on any cylinder at first.

How were you able to do the swap? I've been looking for the mounts and other things for the swap but haven't had any luck. I have a '78 Datsun 280z, and I am trying to do the 2jz engine and transmission conversation. Any tips on how you did it?
