Final Arts Guild Performance
May 28, 2010
Madelstein performs her own arrangement of Los Campesinos!' You'll Need Those Fingers for Crossing. She just listened to the song then picked up her lovely uke, which is named Ümlout, in case you were wondering.
I love this SO much. SOOOOOO much. I already loved the original, but this cover is fantaspectacularmazing.
I can now put it on my IPod. As if I weren't creepy enough. But seriously this was amazing.

  • You'll probably get this a lot, and sorry to be the first, but what chords do you use for this? I figured out the D to start, but beyond that I'm lost! Thank you! This is amazing!

  • @StanleyChuck

Thanks! The chords are D, Em, C, and G

  • @EarthSage14 Many kinds thank you, but I was there when she tuned it. It is most definitely in tune. And there were many people there who have been playing stringed instruments for over ten years, and none of them know what you are talking about.

  • I really enjoyed this cover. Good job!

  • I'm a huge fan of LC! and at first I did not like this cover.

It has slowly grown on me in a monumental fashion and I think it's easily the best LC! cover on youtube.

  • @EarthSage14 oh, yeah. i know julia nunes. the others are new names to me though.

ah... is THAT why i can't link videos anymore? a youtube rule?

  • @EarthSage14 it sounds out of tune to me too, but i find that if i'm listening to a stringed instrument that i'm not used to hearing, it ALWAYS sounds out of tune. and ukeleles aren't all over the place (unfortunately), so i don't hear them a lot.

... so what i'm saying is that it could be out of tune *and* it could be in tune...

...gee, you guys really needed my contribution, didn't you? i'll shut up now.

    never mind.

  • @EarthSage14 Tune your ears, good sir. That Uke is in tune.

  • Fantastic! (Of course.)
