Leo Burnett actually did 2 commercials, Camp Nippersink and "No Place Like Out". They were shot out of Gainesville, Florida. Both aired during summer months. I have seen Camp Nippersink, but have not ever seen No Place Like Out. I was in the commercial and would love to find it!

I was in this commercial too. I am so happy to see it again. They need to get all the girls together again to remake the commercial! I had such a fun time doing this commercial.

oh lord. I am old old old. First of all did it just say "celebrating 35 years" get out of town. I was like 7 when this was on. and I remember that song by heart. Oh what a wonderful world we used to live in. GO old school tv for marketing to just kids on saturday mornings :)

@phoenixmoon3 In 1989 McDonalds was celebrating their 35th anniversary by showing retro commercials. I don't know the exact year this commercial aired, but watching it was one of my very first memories (I was born in 1977) and so it would have probably been around 1980, 1981...

i'd forgotten about this commercial until a coworker told a student last week that he looked like "quack quack waddle waddle" in his yellow slicker. Then the whole chant came back to me, just like that.

@elithecat thank you for posting the video. I have a copy that is still on a VHS tape so to be able to have peace of mind that is on Youtube is a beautiful thing. Thank you so much. I have a huge scrapbook that my mom made during the making. Maybe I will make a video of all the treasures and send it your way.
