That ancient Abbey looks remarkably like Battle Abbey, Senlac Hill, about where King Harold met his maker thanks to the Normans in 1066. I've ridden Battle Abbey grounds many times in the past and it was always good for a arm aching gallop. Can you let me know if the location is correct.
