while the US concentrated on making reasonably accurate rifles with a high rate of fire. the germans concentrated on making rifles with amazing accuracy. the aim (no pun) for the germans was to have their infantry be able to shoot accurately and let their mg teams do the surpressing

@TheSuperspudnik its called an Enbloc, its french

@shadow0imposter unless the K98 is already cocked, you cannot switch the gun to safety, and before you say i have no idea, i own a K98

@juggernogify yea but the germans knew when they heard that ping we were fair game lol

My M14 got a little lonely and brought an M1 Garand home with it (1954 serial on it)
Still need to clean all the cosmoline off, but it is in amazing condition - the rifling is in GREAT condition. Wood stock has a few knicks on it, but some varnish will fix that.
I'm curious: if you had to pick between buying a K98K or a M1903, which, and why?

@rampantandroid well... I'd like to have both, I bought the K-98 in this video... and I like the fact that the K-98 was the original where as the M1903 was patterned after it, but I sure would like to get my hands on a M1903 too, they are just a little more pricey...
I have a M1A1(M-14) too, and my younger bro has a M 1 Garand to keep it company... :D

@shadow0imposter who loads with the safety on? LOL If you don't intend to shoot the gun for a while. you click the safety on after you load it, however we were shooting right then, so we didn't need the safety's.
