Blackboys Vineyard | Sparkling English Wine

Anthony and Zena Budd moved away from the city in 2000 to fulfill their dream of owning and managing their own family-run, boutique vineyard in East Sussex with their two young daughters. After leaving jobs in graphic design and production behind, Anthony retrained, studying wine production at Plumpton College, and Zena as a primary school teacher.

In 2007 Anthony planted 8000 vines and bought a vineyard dog, Tango. Despite a lot of hard work, blood, sweat and tears, the past 5 years have been wonderfully satisfying for the Budds. With the vineyard on two sides of the house, the family are fully embedded in country life, with everyone enjoying helping out. The girls lend a hand, but mostly enjoy the open space and playing among the vines with their friends.
