Don't buy any garbage. There are literally tons of causes of back pain. I've seen many doctors for mine including conventional, naturopathic, chiropractic, acupuncture, and physical therapy. They all helped but ultimately it was the dialog with my physical therapist. It was as simply as having unbalanced strength in my legs and torso and week core strength. The main contributing factor seemed to be years of poor posture.
Don't give up. And remember, sometimes moving, though painful, helps.

The small of the back is the junction box that transmits messages to and from the extremities to the brain

Chiropractors are not doctors!!!!! If you want a stroke go to them!!!!!

Your statement just answered your question. It's simply a matter of transference and simply that and maybe I have read to much into this action.
-
@cjstarbuc . I would like to hear your understanding of neurophysiology and exactly why something as simple as this is ineffective. I have my suspicions that you are reading far too much into what this action is trying to achieve. If you have ever had a facet joint problem and understand the pathophysiology surrounding inflammation within the joint, you might then be able to understand how such a simple change in pressure gradient within the joint capsule my help to relieve nociceptor activity.
-
Really? Do you know anything about nerves and how they react to pressure and message and the kind of nerves you are stimulating with your so called treatment. Obviously not or you would have never made this video. Please study some physiology and wasting peoples time. Especially mine, I have people to help.

I have a question for you, when I get that knot in my lower back, the tenderness seems to be on the knot I think. So which direction should I be applying pressure? I'm guessing towards the spin?
-
Yes, right, It is pretty natural to want to touch or press on the area of pain; firstly to see if it is real, and secondly to manipulate it to vary its intensity, if possible.
Cheers.

@wendypape i am 13 years old and i play basketball at a high level. I had a tournament and after the last game i was fine but when i got home my back was very stiff. now every time i play basketball my back really hurts and i can hardly play... i also have no allergies.... can you please help on how i can fix it... its my lower back. THANK YOU
I am pain free now! chiro is good but 2 major causes of back pain dehydration from not enough water ( Your Bodies Many Cries for Water MD) & hidden allergies. Wheat/gluten etc. causes such excrucitating crippling neck/back pain. It happens to me, friends too. Watch for it. When it hits really bad, figure out what you've eaten in the last 24 hours. In my 20's I went to the Chiropractor 3x week the neck/back pain was so bad...now I know it was the bread etc, even alcohol is made from wheat/rye!

Yes you are right - it is not just muscles and joints that cause back pain. You need to make sure you are hydrated and are generally healthy.
Although I disagree on removing foods - cutting back is okay. If you are having issues with foods then correct the internal issues and not just remove the food - foods are a symptom of things out of balance not the cause.
Thanks for your comments.

this works realy well, when you apply firm presure you can actually feel knots coming undone.dont be afraid to dig in it works even better

You need firm pressure NOT aggressive pressure. Even gentle pressure will work and is better if you are in pain.
Remember the rule - if it causes pain DON'T do it.
Cheers

You are right - exercise will help but it won't remove the restrictions in your joint movement. It may ease a bit of your back pain but not eliminate the problems. To remove back pain you must remove all the factors causing it or it will return.
