i love this game so much my sister made me play this and she was already lvl 75 ages ago cuz of the max lvl now shes like lvl 99 for 5 jobs in 2 days

@skudzer1985 The story is quite good and the the game is complex. If anyone is simpleminded, it's you-- since the people who can't understand FFXI's greatness are the same ones who only have the capacity to get to endgame content and kill monsters for their loot, to the exclusion of everything else.
WoW is catering to your breed now and they they lost 650k subs Q1 and another 300k Q2. Get owned.

@skudzer1985 You pity those who were simple minded enough.... You're the one on Youtube who actually looked up a final fantasy video and commented on it. The attraction to this game and every final fantasy game, is the familiar universe that is always involved. Chocobos, Summons, Classes, the works. Its the same reason the original World of Warcraft players started playing: They wanted to play an MMO in a universe they cared about.

I pity those who were simple minded enough to think that this garbage was a worthwhile endeavor. The only reason this game had such a following was because of the name Final Fantasy. If it were called "Tales of Fantasy" or something, it would have faded away as it should have. Bland world...dull, repetitive combat...pathetic character detail...just not fun at all. Admittedly the music was fine. I'm sure this comment will be buried soon by the brainwashed underlings; prove me right.

@poopmyridelog Yes. Yes you do have to pay online fees. but, if you do, it doesn't require XBL gold membership. Just like Phantasy star Universe.

@kite012991ab lawlz... the FFXI community is a unmeasurably better... it's actually enjoyable playing with the ppl who play ffxi which is the whole point of playing online games in the first place.

Yes, this game is slow paced both in battle and in progress, however, it is because this game is entirely based on teamwork and tactic. There are no thousands of skills to spam, only way to win is right skills/magic at the right time with some luck or skillful playing.
