Volt Guitar Trio is a composer Mårten Josjö's side project in which he presents electronic in unexpected acoustic arrangements. In 2009 he arranged three classical Swedish techno twelve inches for the pride of Uppsala, Chamber Brass Orchestra Omnibus. At Voltfestivalen 2010 the Volt Guitar Trio performed some of the most important songs from the vaults of electronica, covering the artists The Orb, Kraftwerk and Autechre. How does this sound on guitar? Here are some clips from the festival.
Actually, this is a piece by Steve Reich "Electric Counterpoint" scored for 13 guitars. It was sampled by The Orb. In other words: this is the instruments originally intended.

I dunno.. I mean they're great, I'm sure.. but I don't think it sounded very good. Recording quality considered, I think some music is best left on the instruments for which they were originally intended.
Did they play Spanish Castles in Space?
