A similar sandwich, and one that mostly garners disgust when described, is one taught to me by my father. An Alabama born food guru to me. White bread, peanut butter, banana and mayonnaise! Made like a PBJ with the peanut butter spread on one side then sliced banana's in place of jelly and mayo on the opposing bread. The contrast of the sweet to the slight tartness of mayo is oddly good. The fresher the bread, the better.

I've always made peanut butter banana sandwiches since I was little, but I've never tried it grilled! I will try that. I have had PB&J both grilled and not grilled. I have to say I like it grilled better, so I'm sure I will say the same for the PB&B one as well :) Thanks for the inspiration!

I gave the sandwich a try awhile back. I have tried some tips posted here and the sandwich is growing on me (or I am making them better). Thanks for the comment! cheers, KtC
