Lot S178
This limited production model designed by John Reinhart and built by Michigan's Mitchel-Bently Company, which was sent regular Packard Convertibles that were finished to Caribbean specs. In 1953 this car priced out at $5,210.00

This beautiful example was restored 16 years ago and stored since. The straight eight and automatic transmission was rebuilt. Restoration includes new leather, new paint, and new chrome wire wheels. A great addition to your Precious Metals Collection.

  • Too beautiful for words. Packards were great.

  • This was one of the cars in which I learned to drive.

Its successor for us was a '54 Cadillac convertible.

No, it wasn't as quick as the V8 Cadillac but it was more pleasant to drive otherwise. If I could have either one of them back now, it would definitely be the Packard despite the service issues my family had with it.

  • Superb beautiful vehicle - just could not catch Cadillac - great post thanks.
