The film itself is Cohen's ultimate set up. He (FALSELY) portrays Kazakhstanis as backwards and antisemitic to U.S. audiences who prove to be:

a) As ignorant as the dumbasses he skewers on camera, and even worse --

b) React with similar indifference/cowardly self-conscious approval to the dehumanizing ethnic/national stereotypes Borat proposes.

THE VIEWER is the classically unaware victim of Cohen's notorious 'self-revealing ridicule' punchline... I bet audience reactions go into a future film.
