@darkfury71 lol i think they were filming this during the Writer's strike which would explain why the series got canceled and the poor plot lines. :)

if isabelle dies then they also lose their all important pawn. and no way markets would recover so quickly.. they'd be in a recession for years. and why is the infrastructure in that town so primitive to be able to cause blackouts so easily? are those above ground power lines still in use in the US?? even so, they should have realized this and stayed in the hospital until they could find a safer place to live ... what is with these plot lines???
