  • @orestesdd (a year later ha) Typically best fabric for men's shirts is what is known as broadcloth. It's a simple 100% cotton with standard weave. Twill is also very nice visually and texturally. Make sure to match weight with season as Ms. Vague here says. Honestly there is no cost-effectiveness as off-the-rack shirts are so cheap and mass produced. The main reason is for fit and style. Pick up a pattern, make one-offs with muslin or use old sheets and fit to size. Alter pattern as needed.

  • what kind of fabric do you use for men's shirts? Could you be more specific? Is it more cost-effective to make my own shirt (I am a man) than buying it at the store?
