Choices?! A Jonas Horror Story (Chapter 2)

6 Months Earlier

The Beginning....

"You know you should talk to her" Joe sighed as he pestered his younger brother once again
"I think she made it quite clear she didnt want to talk to me when she told me we were over" nick stated
"Nick she was angry she just needs time ring her apologise again" Joe comforted his brother
"What for something I didnt do?" nick complained
"Nick she was hurt now shes had time to calm down she'll listen" Joe spoke sure of himself
"Maybe I don't want to try anymore" nick muttered as he slouched down on the couch next to his older brother
"You don't mean that" Joe replied as he flicked through the channels on the TV
"Maybe, maybe not" nick shrugged and Joe turn off the TV and turned to face him
"What do you mean maybe not?" Joe questioned
"I don't know it just seems that sometimes things with Mel seem so hard" nick sighed defeated
"Relationships are hard" Joe replied
"Not that hard, what about you Joe your relationship with Chloe doesn't seem like hard work" nick questioned
"Well it's not always easy we've had our fights nick but we've worked through them and you should to" Joe stated signalling the end of the conversation nick wasnt going to win this one.
"What about Kevin?" nick muttered after a while of sitting in silence
"He's lucky" Joe whispered almost as he was lost in thought

A few minutes past before Joes phone started to vibrated across the table in front of them. He picked it up and smiled before answering
"Hey chlo" he smiled into the phone but it was soon lost
"Who is this?" he question worry clear in his voice making nick sit up
"What...yes yes...of course I'll be right there" Joe rushed into the phone leaping up from the couch. He paced back and through across the living room for a few more minutes before he final hung up the phone and turned to face nick who was now standing up concern edge into his features.

"That was the police" Joe breathed out as he ran his fingers through his hair trying to calm himself down.
"The police what happened is she ok?" nick asked concerned as he followed Joes lead and got his shoes and coat on following him out to his car.
"I don't know"Joe final stuttered out after they had be on the road for a good few minutes
"They just said that someone had found Chloe unconscious outside Mel's house and called an ambulance. The police didn't know any more than that. They wanted us to go to the hospital so they could ask Chloe some questions when she woke up" Joe breathed the tears clear in his eyes
"What about Mel where was she? Is she ok?" nick stuttered unsure if he wanted to know the answer
"She wasn't home, her phone was next to Chloe on the floor they can't get hold of her" Joe whispered his voice cracking

The rest of the car journey was spent in complete silence no one spoke or moved more than needed both their minds were set to other matters. They needed the truth they needed to know what happened and the only way of doing that was Chloe and she was unconscious in a hospital bed.

"Chloe Thomson" Joe breathed as he rushed to the main desk
"ermm... she's in room 101, she still unconscious but she should be fine you can both go see her if you like but you will have to inform the police outside her room who you are first" she smiled comfortingly but Joe didn't stick round to see it he left as soon as she had finished speaking racing towards Chloe's room nick closely behind him.
"you can't go in there" a bigly built man breathed his police uniform shinning as he stood up placing his arm in front of Joe blocking his path
"I'm her boyfriend Joe you spoke to me on the phone you're the one who told me to come here" Joe rushed impatiently, the officer looked at him for a moment before looking at him with sympathy
"Sorry but we have to check you can go in but who's..."the officer asked looking at nick but Joe interrupted
"Hes my brother his coming in to" Joe breathed as he pulled nick past the officer with him into Chloes room.

Once inside the room Joe just stood there frozen for a moment before walking towards Chloes bed. She was just lying there perfectly still, there wasnt a mark or scratch on her just a bandage across her forehead where Joe supposed she had been hit. At once he was at her side taking her hand tightly in his kissing her check softly


Both Joe and nick sat that helpless as they watch Chloe wriggled and fight in her unconscious state Joe held her hand comfortingly but it made no difference whatever Chloe was reliving was something Joe couldnt stop.
"Stop no...help" Chloe shouted in her sleep and Joe dropped his head into his hands as nick placed his hand on his brothers back comfortingly but the truth is nick couldnt help his mind was compete froze to one thing one person Mel
"Stop!" Chloe screamed sitting up straight in her bed sending the machines around her into a frenzy beeping everywhere. She turned to face them both tears in her eyes to match theirs.
"He took her..."
