Number 8 is now down with awaiting tube & crown sheet repairs, while 25's tender has a water leak. So the 25 is handling the excursions with 8's tender coupled behind her. It will be like this for a while due to low funds. The 8 will be back in the forseable future.

That's funny. To be honest these things happen once in a while and to be honest it's expected to be amoung elder locomotives.

Uh, old No.8 was not built for Sierra Railway. No.8 was built several years before they formed. It worked around the center of the U.S. No.8 was acquired by Short Line Enterprises in the 70's and was used on the Sierra under their road name. Then SLE sold No.8 to NSRM in the late 90's. Sorry to be a critic.
